    Product description

Mercedes-Benz "CLA", "A" and "B" Class passenger cars

    What are the defects?

If the starter were to become blocked due to prior damage and if multiple and/or extended start attempts were to be made in this condition, the starting current limiter could be electrically overloaded and overheat.

    What are the hazards?

In the worst case scenario, this could cause nearby components to ignite and cause a fire.

    What should consumers do?

Consumers should contact their nearest Mercedes-Benz dealer for an inspection and repair of the vehicle.

Further information about the recall can be obtained from any Mercedes-Benz dealership.
