What are the defects?
The Tyre Placard may have been printed with the incorrect spare wheel and tyre size. These vehicles will not be compliant with the Australian Design Rule 42/04 – General Safety Requirement.
What are the hazards?
If the incorrect spare tyre is fitted, the vehicle will be considered un-roadworthy, and poses a potential accident hazard.
What should consumers do?
FCA Australia will notify vehicle owners who can take their vehicle to a Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership whereby the dealer will install a tyre placard overlay over the existing tyre placard.
