GM Holden—Holden VE Commodore & WM Caprice LPG Vaporiser

    Product description

Certain LPG Vaporisers were manufactured with an incorrect LPG vaporiser diaphragm. There have been 170 suspect LPG vaporisers fitted to dedicated LPG Commodores and Caprices.

    Identifying features

VE COMMODORE & WM CAPRICE BUILT BETWEEN 12/12/2012 – 13/05/2013

    VIN RANGE

    6G1EK8E49CL711575 – 6G1EK5E4XCL721384

    What are the defects?

A condition has been identified where, in some instances, an incorrect diaphragm spring was installed within the LPG vaporiser that may comprimise the diaphragm. When the diaphragm is worn, additional LPG will be delivered to the engine, causing the engine to stall and not re-start.

    What are the hazards?

If the engine stalls this may pose a hazard to the driver and/or other road users.

    What should consumers do?

Customers should contact their nearest Holden Dealer for a free of charge inspection, and if necessary a replacement LPG Vaporiser will be fitted.
