What are the defects?
In the event of an impact which deploys the front seat belt retractor pre-tensioner, there is a possibility that the insulation material on the inner face of the lower 'B' pillar trim could be subjected to a concentrated heat source that could ignite the insulation material.
What are the hazards?
This could result in a fire. There have been no occurrences in Australia.
What should consumers do?

Owners are advised to contact their Ford authorised dealership for inspection and rectification.
