    What are the defects?

The engine wiring harness may come in contact with components within the engine compartment; this may result in damage to the wiring harness.

    What are the hazards?

If the wiring harness is damaged the engine may cut out whilst driving, resulting in a hazard to the vehicle occupants and other road users.

    What should consumers do?

Letters will be sent to owners of affected vehicles to advise of next steps to take to have the defect rectified free of charge. If you have any concerns or queries you can contact Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific customer line on 03 9566 9266.
