2006 TJ Jeep Wrangler with a manual transmission

    What are the defects?

The clutch interlock switch may contain a return spring that fatigues.

    What are the hazards?

A fatigued clutch interlock switch return spring could allow the driver to engage the engine starter motor without the clutch pedal being depressed. This could result in unintended vehicle movement and cause an accident without warning.

    What should consumers do?

FCA Australia will notify owners who can take their vehicle to a Chrysler Jeep Dodge (CJD) dealer whereby the vehicle will be repaired. For further information regarding the recall customer can call 1300 133 079.
