Identifying featuresManufactured between August 1999 and June 2004What are the defects?A faulty brake light switch may lead to the cruise control not disengaging when tapping the brake pedal. The cruise control can still be disengaged via the cruise control lever or by applying the brakes fully.

What are the hazards?Failure of the cruise control to disengage may lead to a serious accident.

What should consumers do?Letters will be sent to affected owners.

Owners are advised to contact their authorised Mercedes-Benz dealer to have the the brake light switch replaced free of charge.

What are the defects?Due to insufficient tensioning of the steering bevel lock-nut on affected trucks within the VIN range, there is the possibility that the lock-nut may loosen.

What are the hazards?Insufficient tensioning of the steering bevel may lead to loss of steering control.

What should consumers do?Letters will be sent to affected owners.

The steering bevel lock-nut tension will be checked and, where necessary, the steering bevel assembly will be replaced free of charge.

Owners are advised to contact their authorised Mercedes-Benz dealer to have the front passenger airbag will be replaced free of charge.
